Sometimes being un-metal is metal as fuck. Not too long ago, I wrote an article on that very thing (Read it HERE) but I thought it would be fun to ask some of my musician friends from bands such as Electric Citizen, Brave, and While Heaven Wept (just to name a few) this very question to see what they had to say. Well, here’s what they had to say:
Laura Dolan – Electric Citizen
I would say my love of cats but I think they’re pretty metal. I’ve protested the circus before (for the animals). My brother, who is 6 years older, is a computer genius. I grew up admiring him and still do. I have a soft spot for people like him and I love technology (I am also completely fascinated to be living amongst the biggest technological boom in human history).

Ther are many, many, many “un-metal” things about me..from my early bedtime to lack of participation in the bar scene, but what tops it for me is probably two of my favorite artists that frequent my music rotation: Faith Hill and Katy Perry!

There’s a lot of un-“metal” things about me. I listen to all kinds of music for one anyway. I LOVE soul music! Haha and most recently my girlfriend’s daughter did my makeup and painted my nails while we watched old episodes of PeeWee’s Playhouse. There’s so much!

I certainly don’t give a shit about anybody’s opinion of me when it comes to what i listen to or how i look. I’d much rather concern myself with whether people think i’m a decent and honest person than any of that other superficial shit.. As far as the shit i listen to: billy joel, bruce springsteen, new model army, and any kind of old soul/r&b/rock n roll stuff.
