Jess and the Ancient Ones Hint at New Release by Summer’s End

Finnish Psych/Occult rockers Jess and the Ancient Ones recently released a new “transmission” hinting at a possible new release by summer’s end. In a post to Jess and the Ancient Ones’ official Facebook page, the band stated the following:

A Pale White Horse!

Again a mysterious man with an optical instrument was seen messing around the lovely and strange JATAO-ranch.
The whole set up seemed strange, as it seemed they had built a stable to the south side of their fertile yards.

I could not see all the details, and so I made a plan to move a bit closer for a better look. Then, all of the sudden, a sound of hooves broke the silence. Jess stormed her way to the ranch, and she was riding on a pale white horse!

Well now, what is this all about?

Maybe it has something to do with this other matter I’ve been looking into. You see, I have heard as the band has been practicing some new tunes recently, and my best guess is that something sweet this way comes. Maybe they are planning a release of some sort for the end of the summer?

Well…I’ll soon find out. I promise.

This is REALLY exciting news as the band just released a brand new album last year which also picked up my Album of the Year award. The fact that the band is so creative and that they are continuing to produce new music is truly exciting and I cannot wait to see what they have in store for us. Last year’s Second Psychedelic Coming: Aquarius Tapes was a monumental release for JATAO and showed a significant growth. Now, as a five piece after parting ways with longtime guitarist Thomas Fiend, the band is pushing on and still touring hard in Europe. Hopefully this new release will bring the band back Stateside for some shows in 2017 but for now, I’ll take anything I can get.
