Talkin’ the Talk with Former Slik Toxik Guitarist Kevin Gale

In 1992 I attended a Faster Pussycat show here in Atlanta, GA at the Masquerade. That night, the band that was their direct support was band out of Canada that I was only familiar with by name: Slik Toxik For 45 minutes, Slik Toxik annihilated that room and pretty much had Faster Pussycat looking like Menudo by the end of the night. That night I struck up a conversation with guitarist Kevin Gale and by sheer happenstance I would find myself connected with Kevin over 25 years later because of a band he was in at the time called Punishment.

Over the last few years, Kevin and I have formed a bond and have become very close friends. Kevin is one of the most interesting people I know and is an absolute honor to call friend. This isn’t your typical podcast interview. We talked a little bit about Slik Toxik but the topic of mental health came out and seemed to dominate this episode which I have to say LOVE! I hope you all will give this a listen and know that you are not alone.
