2019 has been a busy year for me. Many folks have been asking why my blog content has been a little sparse this year. I have kept it under wraps until it was complete but now I am ready to share what I have been working with all year. I will be releasing my first book ever. The book is called Southeast of Heaven: A Metalhead’s Journey Over 30 Years in the Making. The book is a collection of essays that are stories of my life as a fan of heavy metal music.
From the very beginning of hearing metal music in the early ‘80s to having hummus with Bruce Dickinson, getting tossed over the barricade at a Ramones show, and having my life changed by King Crimson, Southeast of Heaven: A Metalhead’s Journey Over 30 Years in the Making is my story. It’s a story that I believe everyone can relate to that has a passion for music of any genre besides Heavy Metal.
Southeast of Heaven: A Metalhead’s Journey Over 30 Years in the Making will be released on March 15th, 2020. Why March 15th? March 15th is the Ides of March and because Iron Maiden had a song of the same title it just seemed appropriate.
The book will be available on Amazon in both paperback and in Kindle format. I will be doing a live book reading at Waller’s Coffee Shop. I will also be selling copies of the book as well for $10.00
I am so excited about this book and I cannot wait to share it with all of you! I will have more information on how to pre-order soon so stay tuned!
