Dead & Company Announce Cancellation of 2020 Summer Tour: “We will return. We will get by. We will survive.”

Dead & Company canceled their 2020 summer tour due to the coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic. The band was originally slated to hit the road from July 10 – August 8.

“The well-being and safety of the Deadhead community, venue workers and our touring family is of the utmost importance to us,” explained the band in a statement. “We also want to provide you, the fans who’ve been hit hard financially during this difficult time with your money back. All tickets will be fully refunded at point of purchase.”

Dead & Company’s lone tour of 2020 was scheduled to start with two shows at Folsom Field in Boulder on July 10 and 11. The sextet was then to have brought the run to Maryland Heights, Missouri; Noblesville, Indiana; Atlanta; Raleigh; Cincinnati; Clarkston, Michigan; Chicago; Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio; Hershey, Pennsylvania; East Rutherford, New Jersey; Saratoga Springs, New York and Bristow, Virginia before ending the tour with two nights at Fenway Park in Boston.

Due to the global coronavirus outbreak, and in order to prevent the spread of COVID-19, we sadly have no choice but to cancel the upcoming Dead & Company Summer 2020 Tour.

The well-being and safety of the Deadhead community, venue workers and our touring family is of the utmost importance to us. We also want to provide you, the fans who’ve been hit hard financially during this difficult time with your money back. All tickets will be fully refunded at point of purchase.

We are thankful for your love, your understanding and we look forward to the day when we can all be reunited. In the meantime, keep the faith and believe in the power of music.
