German Krautrock masters Wucan have announced that they have launched a crowdfunding (krautfunding) campaign to help them release some new material. With the worldwide Covid-19 pandemic, it has been hard on musicians who are now unable to tour and perform on a regular basis. Wucan is no exception but they are maintaining a very positive and glowing attitude about it all.
” The global pandemic has pulled the sand from under many artists” feet. Us, as well as many other musicians are affected. With your support we can, despite the lack of concerts and tours, continue to be active as a band and record new music, as well as produce three videos. You set the starting shot for our third studio album, as these singles are going to be part of it.
Bands and artists are in a critical situation due to the global pandemic. Concerts are prevented from taking place at the moment and as a result financial means are missing for any recordings. But of course, we want to continue recording and releasing our new music for you. Subsequently, the people behind us benefit from your support as well: sound engineers, recording studios, video directors and other artists work with us together on this project”
