Following a successful world tour behind the release of her critically acclaimed and fan loved album Sometimes Forever, Nashville based indie folk rocker Soccer Mommy has announced that she will be releasing a new album titled Evergreen on October 25. Today, Soccer Mommy released the first single/video from Evergreen called M. It’s a lush, beautifully dreamy slice of indie folk rock goodness with that reflects the influence of 80s/90s organic indie rock bands such as REM and The Lemonheads with a splash of Beatles love for good measure. Soccer Mommy had this to say about Evergreen:
“Happy to finally announce my next album ‘Evergreen’ is out on 10/25! I wanted to change things up a bit on this one and play around with some more organic textures. It was really important for me that the songwriting shone through everything and came to the forefront. These songs are very close to my heart and I hope they become close to some of yours as well!
The first single “M” is out today and it’s a personal favorite. This was the first song I wrote for this album and I feel like it really gave me the direction I needed. The music video is directed by Anna Pollack and is also out now.”
