Baracelona based psych rockers Magick Brother and Mystic Sister have returned once again in 2024 with a new album announcement and a new single. As usual, Magick Brother and Mystic Sister waved the fanfare that usually comes with a band releasing a new album and opted for subtlety. A short preview video was released and all it said was: “11 songs to complete the circle. Tarot Part 2.”
The band announced the pre-sale of Tarot Pt. II for October 11th and within 24 hours all variants of the vinyl release were completely sold out. You can still get in on the pre-sale for CD copies of Tarot Pt. II HERE. I’d move quick since they are going very fast.
Tarot Pt. II is set for a November 22nd and marks the band’s 2nd full-length release this year. Does this mean that they have TWO albums that might be competing for Top Album of 2024? We shall see but the cards seem to point to a big “fuck yes.”
The first single from Tarot Pt. II is “Strength” which is absolutely hypnotic. It’s a radio edit which means we can expect a full on epic facemelt when the album comes out. For now, check out “Strength” here!
