The Devil’s Blood to Re-open Merch Store on March 4th, 2025 to Celebrate the Life and Death of Selim Lemouchi

Farida Lemouchi, former vocalist of Dutch occult rock icons The Devil’s Blood announced via bands still active social media accounts that the band’s merch store will reopen on March 4th to celebrate the passing and the life of guitarist/songwriter Selim Lemouchi.  After releasing three full-length albums, one EP, and three singles and successful tours of Europe and the US, Selim Lemouchi decided that his work here was done.  On March 4th, 2014, Selim took his own life at only 33 years old.

Selim always addressed his time on this Earth as “buying time.”  He believed that he had a job to do, acting as a medium to spread the word of Satan through his songs.  He also mentioned that when he felt like he’d done what he needed to do, this time here would be done.  Selim said in an interview once:

“Death is the ultimate initiation. But there’s also the question of what you are being initiated to. In my case I am not looking for oneness with God, I’m not looking for the end of karma. I’m looking for oneness with chaos, to be set free in the flames. This is what sets me apart from the Christians and the Buddhists.”

March 4, 2025 will be 11 years since his crossing over and to commemorate his life and death, Selim’s sister and Devil’s Blood vocalist Farida Lemouchi announced that the Devil’s Blood online merch store will be opening.  Here is what she had to say via the Devil’s Blood official (and still active) social platforms:

On March 4th, The Devil’s Blood webshop will open once more, unveiling a collection steeped in our legacy and bound in fire and blood.

For this release, we have something special planned. A dear friend, whose voice echoes through our past, has crafted a new design and alongside this, we will revive one of his designs that accompanied us on a fleeting but unforgettable weekend of ritual and chaos.
Additionally, for those who seek to revisit the origins, we are bringing back an offering from the earliest days of our journey, now adorned in a format as timeless as the music itself.
