Swedish Psych Rockers NEPHILA Return With Spectacular New Single, “In Her Hands (You’ll Never Be Free).”

Swedish Psych Rockers Nephila have made a much anticipated return with their new song “In Her Hands (You’ll Never Be Free).”  This their first bit of new music from Nephila since their stellar 2021 self-titled debut album.  I am such a huge fan of that first album that it left me wanting more and while I would love a full album, this killer track is a nice appetizer to hold me over until the main course.

“In Her Hands (You’ll Never Be Free)” is a fuzzy groove-laden face rocker that definitely caught me off guard.  I mean, I know that Nephila already kicks ass but this song is just on a whole other level.  It’s got such a strong punch to it and the co-lead vocalists Josephine Asker and new addition Linn Edlund combine their powerful voices to create an almost spiritual, psych rock masterpiece.

There are moments throughout the song that I feel nearly took me into Heavy Metal  levels but then easily brought me back down to where it felt safe before launching me back up into that near Metal stratosphere.  The unpredictability of “In Her Hands (You’ll Never Be Free)” makes for an exciting ride that could put any massive roller coaster to shame.  Trust me, this is a ride you’ll want to take over and over and over again.  If this song is this fucking great, I can’t imagine what is in store for me when the full album is released!
