HAPPY BIRTHDAY RANDY RHOADS!

Randall William “Randy” Rhoads was born on this day, December 6 in 1956. In 1979, Randy was picked to be the lead guitarist in the Blizzard of Ozz band fronted by former Black Sabbath singer Ozzy Osbourne. Randy would record two of Ozzy’s greatest albums “Blizzard of Ozz” and “Diary of a Madman” and touring for both albums. Randy’s last show with Ozzy was on Thursday, March 18, 1982 at the Knoxville Civic Coliseum in Knoxville, Tennessee. Randy died in a tragic plane crash in Orlando, FL on March 19, 1982. Randy’s career may have been a short one but in that short amount of time he made a huge impact and left behind a legacy of music that to this day inspire guitar players all over the world.
